This is a summer intern position to support existing full-time staff in the summer months when the caseload in the toxicology laboratory climbs dramatically. Assists in the log-in of autopsy and DUI case samples and other evidence, maintaining proper chain of custody. Performs low complexity qualitative and quantitative analyses using gas and liquid chromatography. Assists in the preparation of samples for more complex qualitative and quantitative analyses. Performs enzyme multiplied immunoassay screens for drugs. Prepares analytical reagents, standards and glassware for the laboratory. Records analytical results in case records.  Maintains records of procedures used in the Toxicology Laboratory, and Assists with clerical duties in the laboratory.
