Pharmaceutical Take-Back Programs
Chain pharmacies (ex: CVS, Walgreens, Wegmans, etc.) are required to provide a take-back program for all pharmaceuticals. This includes local pharmacies, hospitals, and other health agencies. Use the drop-off searches below to find a convenient location.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and U.S. Department of Justice – Drug Enforcement Administration (USDOJ – DEA) all have search engines to locate pharmaceutical drop-off locations in Monroe County and New York State:
- NYSDEC Pharmaceutical Drop-Off Search
- NYSDOH Pharmaceutical Drop-Off Search
- USDOJ - DEA Pharmaceutical Drop-Off Search
