Description of Duties
JOB SUMMARY:
This is a professional position responsible for assisting with the wellness and benefits program for a large governmental agency. Work involves identifying initiatives, analyzing trends and coordinating use of funds related to benefits. Work is conducted in accordance with local, state and federal regulations governing wellness and benefits. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of a Benefits Manager or other higher-level staff member. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
PROPOSED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus, EITHER:
(A) Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration or a closely related field, plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent professional* benefits administration** experience.
(B) Graduation with an Associate’s degree in Business or Public Administration or a closely related field, plus three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent professional* benefits administration** experience.
(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
*For the purposes of these minimum qualifications, professional experience does not include clerical, receptionist or secretarial duties.
**For the purposes of these minimum qualifications, administration is defined as responsibility for planning, program development and management.
