Recreation Director
Description of Duties
This is a professional administrative position in the field of recreation involving the responsibility for planning, evaluating and implementing a recreation program suitable to the interests and needs of the community, including the planning for the utilization of desirable facilities. Where the recreation program is limited in scope, the Director may spend a considerable percentage of his/her time actively participating in specific programs and activities. The position may involve the leadership, supervision and coordination of large numbers of professional and non-professional recreation personnel. General supervision is received from the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Town Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Town of Webster and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Recreation Supervisor immediately preceding the date of the written test.
