Description of Duties

Proposed Description of Duties:

This position is responsible for managing county-wide special initiatives including grant management and monitoring for federal and state grant programs.  Duties include conducting outreach activities, providing assistance to grantees, monitoring compliance and related analysis, and conducting research.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Director of Research Strategy and Development or other higher-level staff member.  Does related work as required.  

Minimum Qualifications

Proposed Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements on or before the date of the written exam: 

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus EITHER:

  1. Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience in project management, program management, or grant management in government/public sector or a not-for-profit organization; OR,
  2. Graduation with an Associate’s degree plus four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time experience* in project management, program management, or grant management in government/public sector or a not-for-profit organization; OR,
  3. Six (6) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience in project management, program management, or grant management in government/public sector or a not-for-profit organization; OR,
  4. An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C) above.

NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S Secretary of Education.
