Human Resources Manager - MCH

Description of Duties

This is an administrative position responsible for developing and directing the personnel and labor relations activities in the human resources office at Monroe Community Hospital.  This position is distinguished from Associate Personnel Technician in the greater complexity of duties and scope of responsibility.  The employee reports directly to and receives general supervision from a higher level staff member.  Does related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master's degree in Public Administration, Personnel Administration, Industrial Labor Relations, Human Resources Development, or related field, plus three (3) years of full‑time or its part-time equivalent experience in personnel administration, which shall have involved responsibility for either: classification, Civil Service examination development and administration, labor relations, benefits administration, employee recruitment and placement, staff development and training or the administration of personnel activities of a department or division; OR,
2. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree, plus four (4) years of experience as described in (A); OR,
3. Any equivalent combination of training and experience and defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
