Accreditation Coordinator And Analyst
Description of Duties
This is a professional, non-sworn position in the Monroe County’s Sheriff’s Office responsible for managing activities related to the accreditation process for all five Bureaus - Jail, Police, Civil, Court Security, and Staff Services. Duties involve assisting with policy development. The position is assigned to the Staff Services Bureau, and the work requires the exercise of independent judgment specifically as it relates to acquiring proper accreditation and office efficiency. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Commander or other higher-level staff member.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements on or before the date of the written exam:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, PLUS either:
- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree, PLUS four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent** experience researching and analyzing policies and procedures of a police agency and ensuring compliance with established regulations or accreditation, or in law enforcement or corrections; OR,
- Graduation with an Associate’s degree, PLUS six (6) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent** experience as described in (A) above; OR,
- Eight (8) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent** experience researching and analyzing policies and procedures of a police agency and ensuring compliance with established regulations or accreditation, or in law enforcement or corrections OR,
- An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C) above.
*Professional experience does NOT include office clerical, secretarial, maintenance or related work.
