Quality Assurance Nurse, prov.
Description of Duties
This is a professional nursing position, located at Monroe Community Hospital, responsible for ensuring that nursing services adhere to quality and regulatory standards, as well as facility policies and procedures. Duties involve the performance of audits, inspections, and assessments of nursing services to verify all relevant requirements are being met. This position will provide comprehensive support for quality resident care by assisting in the determination of what quality measures to study and ensuring that staff have the proper training and tools to improve the quality of care. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Nursing Administrator or other higher-level staff member with wide latitude allowed for independent judgment and decision making. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse plus EITHER:
(A) One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse, six (6) months of which must have been involved in quality assurance, quality improvement, risk management, or health and safety management.; OR,
(B) Eighteen (18) months paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, six (6) months of which must have been involved in quality assurance, quality improvement, risk management, or health and safety management; OR,
(C) An equivalent combination of experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
