Building And Code Compliance Inspector
Description of Duties
This is a supervisory position in a Town responsible for administering the County Housing Improvement Program as well as inspecting buildings, issuing building permits, and enforcing state and municipal building codes. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of a higher ranking official. Supervision may be exercised over a subordinate staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Town of Penfield and must have served continuously for twelve (12) months holding the position of Assistant Building Inspector immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
