July 25 Public Hearing to Focus on Adding Parcels to County's Eastern and Western Agricultural Districts

A public hearing is set for 5:45 p.m. July 25 at the Legislative Chambers in the County Office Building, 39 W. Main Street, Rochester, concerning requests received by the Monroe County Legislature from property owners seeking to have their lands added to the county’s Agricultural Districts.

Under state Agricultural and Markets Law, property owners may request their agricultural land be added to an established agricultural district on an annual basis. Between March 1, 2022 and March 20, 2022, 29 landowners requested that 52 parcels in the county be added to the Eastern and Western Agricultural Districts.
