Monroe County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo today announced that the Greece Department of Motor Vehicles Auto License Bureau will be moving to the Mall at Greece Ridge Center. The new facility will be easier for customers to access and will provide a vital boost to one of our community's important retail centers. Dinolfo was joined at the announcement by Town of Greece Supervisor Jack Auberger and General Manager for The Mall at Greece Ridge Jim Hofford.
"Our new Greece DMV will provide the best of both worlds – more convenient for customers as well as a boost to a vital retail center which is important to our local economy, all while keeping costs stable for taxpayers." said Dinolfo.
The new Greece DMV will be located in the eastern portion of the Mall at Greece Ridge, near Circuit City and Bed, Bath and Beyond. The lease for the location is for 10 years with one 5-year renewal option. In addition, the operational costs at the new location will be comparable with the office's current location at Ridgecrest Commons. The office will open in mid-January. Over 100,000 customers make use of the current Greece DMV Office annually.
"Hopefully, our customers will conduct their DMV business locally, as more people choose to Renew Monroe and take advantage the opportunity to do some family shopping and have a bite to eat all in one stop," said Dinolfo. "This is the type of private-public partnership that benefits the entire community by ensuring that local residents, workers and employers benefit from the use of tax dollars."
"This announcement is another boost to Greece's economy and the future of the Mall," said Greece Supervisor Jack Auberger. "I want to congratulate County Clerk Dinolfo for her vision in returning the DMV to the Mall."
"Having the DMV relocate here reinforces that The Mall at Greece Ridge provides more ways to shop. Our guests will be able to do their shopping, take care of their DMV business, grab some lunch, take in a movie and work out all in one place," said Jim Hofford, General Manager for the Mall at Greece Ridge.
