Wegmans Concerts By The Shore At Ontario Beach Park Are Underway

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo reminds residents to come out to Ontario Beach Park for the annual Wegmans Concerts by the Shore this summer season. In its first successful week, the band “Exit 24” entertained residents and visitors alike with their fun performance.

“I want to thank Wegmans and the Ontario Beach Park Program Committee for their continued dedication to making these free concerts possible,” said Dinolfo.  “For over 25 years Monroe County residents have had the great pleasure of listening to incredible local musicians and this year is no different.  I encourage everyone to spend a Wednesday evening listening to fantastic music while enjoying our wonderful Ontario Beach Park in Charlotte.”

Concerts are free to the public and run every Wednesday through August 31st. Tonight’s concert features the party band, The Coupe Devilles.

For over 25 years Wegmans has partnered with the Ontario Beach Parks Program Committee to bring our community these free concerts.

“Over the past 27 years, our partnership with the Ontario Beach Park Program Committee, Monroe County and the City of Rochester, has brought over 380 free family concerts to Ontario Beach Park,” said Linda Lovejoy, Wegmans Community Relations Manager. “The 2016 concert series is a particularly special one for us as we celebrate Wegmans 100th anniversary with the community, and the OBPPC commemorates the 100th anniversary of the City’s annexation of the Village of Charlotte.”

“Welcome to another exciting year of Wegmans Concerts by the Shore.  This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Village of Charlotte becoming a part of the City of Rochester and Wegman's business celebrating 100 years. We invite all to join us at the beach for great family fun,” said Joe Carrozzi, Chairman of the Ontario Beach Park Program Committee.

“I am excited about this year’s Concerts by the Shore series.  Community events like the Concerts by the Shore play an important role in our efforts to bring more jobs, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities to our citizens,” said Mayor Lovely Warren.

We hope that everyone will take the opportunity to attend these fun and free concerts. For more information go to or call 865-3320.
