Accounts Payable Supervisor - Finance
Description of Duties
This supervisory position, located in the Monroe County Department of Finance, is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable unit within the Controller’s Office, ensuring that all payments are processed correctly and in a timely manner. Duties include working with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, processing vendor checks, and resolving returned vendor checks. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, the Controller or other higher-level staff member. Direct supervision is exercised over staff within the unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class in the Monroe County Department of Finance and must have served continuously for twelve (12) months holding the position of Supervisor of Claims and Accounts immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
