Monroe County Executive Adam Bello and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra are thrilled to announce a series of free musical performances at the County-operated Rochester Riverside Convention Center COVID-19 vaccine POD on Thursday, May 27 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Performances will feature three different groups of musicians.

“Partnering with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra for Thursday’s Rochester Riverside Convention Center COVID-19 vaccine POD is exciting news,” said County Executive Bello. “The RPO is staple of the Monroe County arts, music, and entertainment sector. To have members of their group willing to volunteer their time to make the vaccine experience more enjoyable is a perfect example of the selfless behavior we all need to show in order to tackle the massive task of inoculating our community.”

"Throughout the pandemic, the RPO and its musicians have found new ways to engage with our audiences and the community through virtual platforms. We are extremely grateful to the supporters of the orchestra and the RPO administrators and staff who helped us continue to share music despite changing regulations. Our audiences are near and dear to us and we have missed performing for them live. We are thrilled for the opportunity to perform at the vaccine clinic to reconnect in-person with the people of Rochester. We offer these performances as an expression of our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in the vaccine distribution efforts in our community,” added David Bruestle from the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.

The COVID-19 vaccine is FREE to anyone, regardless of health insurance or coverage.
