Project Engineer - Water Distribution
Description of Duties
This is an engineering position involving participating in the design and construction of water supply facilities. The employee reports directly to, and works under general supervision of, a senior-level engineering staff member. Leeway is allowed for in the exercise of independent judgment and the application of professional engineering standards. The position regularly requires field work at construction job sites. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate staff or the employee may direct the work of technical and other support staff for specific assigned projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Water Authority and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Engineering Technician or twelve (12) months holding the position of Junior Project Engineer – Water Distribution immediately preceding the date of the written test.
