Deputy Sheriff Patrol - Captain
Description of Duties
This position is responsible for the overall command of a zone substation or special services unit in the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. The employee reports directly to, and works under general supervision from, a Deputy Sheriff Road Patrol - Major. General supervision is exercised over Deputy Sheriff Road Patrol-Lieutenants. Must be available during all shifts to respond to emergency situations within assigned zone or unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Office of the Sheriff and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Deputy Sheriff Road Patrol – Lieutenant immediately preceding the date of the written test.
