Deputy Sheriff Investigator
Description of Duties
This is a specialized law enforcement position in the Monroe County Sheriff's Office responsible for the investigation of crimes, apprehension of criminals and general prevention of criminal activity. Deputies work independently or as a team member on investigations. Assignments are made to specific cases and priorities set by a superior officer. Deputies report directly to, and work under the general supervision of a higher-ranking officer.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Office of the Sheriff and must have served continuously for thirty-six (36) months holding the position of Deputy Sheriff Road Patrol immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
