Bus Dispatcher
Description of Duties
This is a key position in the coordination and direction of a fleet of school buses responsible for the assignment of routes and maintenance of deployment records. Employees report directly to and work under the general supervision of the Transportation Director or other higher-level staff member.
Minimum Qualifications
BOCES #1; Greece and Penfield Central School Districts and the Rochester City School District:
Candidates must be permanently employed in the non-competitive class at an agency listed above and must have served continuously for twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Bus Driver immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District:
Candidates must be permanently employed in the non-competitive class at Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District and must have served continuously for twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Head Bus Driver immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
