Senior Planner
Description of Duties
This is a professional senior-level supervisory position involving responsibility for program development and planning, assigning, supervising, reviewing, coordinating and undertaking a variety of complex assignments. Work is performed under general supervision of a higher-level employee with wide latitude allowed to exercise independence in performing the work. Supervision is exercised over Planners, Planning Technicians, and/or clerical employees.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class in the Monroe County Department of Planning & Development and must have served continuously for twelve (12) months holding the position of Planner II immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
