Close contacts of infants and young children should get a Tdap shot so they stay healthy and to prevent spreading the illness. Close contacts include: new parents, grandparents, day care workers and health care workers.This shot will also protect against tetanus and diphtheria. Click here for details.

Dinolfo Announces Free Zoo Admission for Veterans, Military During Veterans Week

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Seneca Park Zoo officials are pleased to announce a special admission offer for veterans and active military in honor of Veterans Week. From Friday, November 10 through Sunday, November 19, all active and veteran military personnel with valid military ID will receive free Zoo admission for themselves and one child (ages 3-11).

Dinolfo, Kress Announcement MCC Downtown Campus Earns LEED Gold Certification

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Monroe Community College (MCC) President Anne M. Kress announced the new MCC Downtown Campus has earned LEED Gold Certification. This certification, awarded by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), represents USGBC’s second-highest rating and recognizes outstanding commitment to sustainability in building planning, construction and management.

Dinolfo, Amerks Announce America Recycles Day Promotion on November 15

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and the Rochester Americans announced they will co-host America Recycles Day promotional night on Wednesday, November 15, when the Amerks take on the Binghamton Devils at 7:05 at the Blue Cross Arena. The game will feature free ticket deals and a recycling-themed giveaway.
