Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every year. It is the best way to prevent influenza, which can be serious. Individuals who are most at risk for severe complicatons include people 65 years and older, individuals with certain medical conditions such as asthma or diabetes, pregnant women, health care providers and adults who care for infants who are too young to be vaccinated.
