Description of Duties
This is a technical support position involving detailed knowledge of the internal operation of the computer. Duties include the modification and maintenance of data structures, utilization standards, and access methods as required by changes in objectives, equipment, software, utilization and performance requirements. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a higher level technical support staff member. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus EITHER:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree in Computer Science or other computer science field, plus two (2) years of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* computer programming experience; OR,
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree, plus one (1) year of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience as described in (A) above; OR,
(C) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other computer science field; OR,
(D) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
