“Rolling Thunder - The Food Truck Wonder” Coming To Ellison Park For The Second Year

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that Ellison Park will host “Rolling Thunder – The Food Truck Wonder” for the second year on Saturday, August 20th from 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  This family friendly event will bring food trucks, music and fun activities to one of our great county parks.

“For a second year in a row, Monroe County residents will have the opportunity to attend Rolling Thunder, an exciting food truck rodeo in Ellison Park that offers diverse food options, great entertainment and fun for the whole family,” said County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo.  “Monroe County is happy to sponsor Rolling Thunder and offer residents a great, family-friendly experience in one of our incredible parks.  I hope everyone has a chance to visit the Food Truck Rodeo and enjoy this new summer tradition in our community.”

Rolling Thunder is bringing back this family oriented event in picturesque Ellison Park. It will include a large array of children’s activities (bounce houses, art area, scavenger hunt, etc).  In addition, local bands, buskers and street performing huskers will be the entertainment for the day. Rolling Thunder will also be hosting a bocce tournament brought to you by The Bocce League of Rochester The featured attraction at Rolling thunder will include 20+ food trucks and select other food vendors from Rochester and surrounding areas.

Craft beer and wine will also be available for purchase. There is a cover charge of $3.00 per person with children under 12 free. Parking is free on-site. A complimentary shuttle is available from Mercy High School.
Rolling Thunder is produced by Tin Man Events in conjunction with the Monroe County Parks Department at no expense to taxpayers.
