Dinolfo Announces New Allegiant Air Non-Stop Service To Southwest Florida

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that Allegiant Air will begin new, twice-weekly, non-stop service from ROC to Punta Gorda (PGD), Florida beginning November 17, 2017. This new, year-round route was announced today by Allegiant Air and will offer approximately 340 new, non-stop seats per week to the west coast of Florida.

“Monroe County is excited that Allegiant Air is investing in the local passenger demand to Southwest Florida," said Dinolfo. “The addition of this non-stop service means more seats at affordable prices to a popular travel destination for our community. Investing in our Airport’s infrastructure and promoting use of our hometown airport is a strategic economic initiative for our community. We encourage our residents to use our local airport for their travel needs."

Focusing on low-cost leisure travel, Allegiant provides customers with low base fares nearly half of the cost of the average domestic round-trip fare. Their business model has allowed the company to grow from one aircraft and one route just over a decade ago, to providing convenient, affordable service in over 100 communities nationwide.

Allegiant started service at ROC in 2015 and also offers twice-weekly, non-stop service to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB).

Flight times and frequency may vary; ROC passengers looking to book air travel on Allegiant should visit for complete schedules.
